yes a tenth of a inch is  about 3 times smaller than 10mm,  it might have been a typo. error

yeah I think I am good where I am filter wise with 25 micron(sometimes I get carried away with things) but a good idea on the rare earth on the outside of the filter I can tape them down to so I will get less of a chance of them getting brushed off, thanks

it is a suction side mounting and that is what I thought that typically a screen would be courser than a 25 micron filter, do you think taking the magnets out of the old screen housing and putting them inside the new filter is worth doing? or would the  25 micron spin on  filter make them unnecessary?

With good care I would not think this would be a problem with normal amount of hours on the engine one would put on but , maybe you should do a compression check just to remove it from the possible list.

you say you purged the air from the lines are you saying that this was done at the injectors? Just in case you do not know some of these tractors have filter screens in the banjo fittings in various locations (but usually at the inlet of the pump) I would check the oil level in the pump also. You might want to pull off a sample of fuel in a glass jar and make sure there is no water

I do not know about your tractor but my 2006 ft504a foton has reinforced rubber hoses on the suction side, I have not had a issue with mine but that would be a good place for a suction side air leak.

look for 2 drain points on the bottom of pump , if you have added oil to the pump and do not see it on the other side it might have a wall inside that the oil has to go over to get oil on the other side of the pump. I hope this is a little clearer than mud. I think that my  2005 20 hp dong feng is this way.

I do not have a clue I wish Hal would chime in and tell us about the health of the forum. But about the pump if there was water in the pump I think I would top it off run it a bit to mix any left over contamination and empty and refill just to be safe.

heah were back online,  I would add oil , I believe your in the right place for the oil level screw since you put a wire in a hollow cavity , I guess if you use a oil can you could squirt it in that hole till it runs out if need be.
