did you ever get this fixed?
you say you purged the air from the lines are you saying that this was done at the injectors? Just in case you do not know some of these tractors have filter screens in the banjo fittings in various locations (but usually at the inlet of the pump) I would check the oil level in the pump also. You might want to pull off a sample of fuel in a glass jar and make sure there is no water
I do not know about your tractor but my 2006 ft504a foton has reinforced rubber hoses on the suction side, I have not had a issue with mine but that would be a good place for a suction side air leak.
look for 2 drain points on the bottom of pump , if you have added oil to the pump and do not see it on the other side it might have a wall inside that the oil has to go over to get oil on the other side of the pump. I hope this is a little clearer than mud. I think that my 2005 20 hp dong feng is this way.
I do not have a clue I wish Hal would chime in and tell us about the health of the forum. But about the pump if there was water in the pump I think I would top it off run it a bit to mix any left over contamination and empty and refill just to be safe.
heah were back online, I would add oil , I believe your in the right place for the oil level screw since you put a wire in a hollow cavity , I guess if you use a oil can you could squirt it in that hole till it runs out if need be.
I remember those posts , I think the bolts loosened on the bell housing causing a seal to wear out running crooked. I think clutches were being replaced to because of being oil soaked. Do you have a loader on yours? If so that’s gotta come off. That is the tuffest part splitting is not all that bad.
On my 2006 50 hp foton there is one oil line that runs from the base of the oil filter housing to the injector pump, the oil is dumped in the crankcase after it runs thru the pump and discharged thru the front of the pump into a housing attached to the block. the other style has nothing but I suppose could be converted to circulate oil. oil levels is very important in a reservoir pump. I am having trouble with the site letting me log in so sorry for the delay.
well unless something bad happens there will be next year to work that tractor. maybe the bugs are gone for now. good luck
first you need to determine if the pump is lubed off the engine sump or the pumps own oil reservoir. if it is it own reservoir there might be two drain locations on the bottom of the pump and one level hole , the vent is used as a fill point. it takes time to drain and fill , it all moves very slowly for some reason . I would use 15/40 engine oil. If lubes from the engine I would just change engine oil and let it blend it is only a few ounces of oil.
