Hey were back on the air, have you made any headway with this?
so if you use the manual hand pump with the fuel line cracked at the pump you get diesel where you opened the system right? I believe that most of these injector pumps have the governors on the back end of the pump. Maybe do a search on the make and model of the pump you never know you might find a parts breakdown , I think most of these pumps are bosch clones. Someone just did a governor on a wheeled tractor (on this ctoa forum ) and he said there were balls in his and it ran in air ( not oil lubed) it had rust in the housing ,he cleaned and greased and that let the governor work which let the fuel plate work again. I hope I remembered this correctly.
check the fuel shut off and make sure that it is free, what I am referring to is on the injector pump , it turns on and off the fuel to the engine for stop and start. There will be a rod or a cable to it that goes to the dash , I do not believe there is a electric relay for these machines. Bob the dozer expert left this forum.
with the tractor OFF put the pto lever in the engaged position either speed is ok ,then go and try turning the pto shaft, if it does not turn that is good. then put the pto lever in the disengaged position and then the pto shaft should spin freely. I guess you should try it in each pto speed on second thought just to be sure. And there is no direct connection as far a fluid goes it is just from the current flow of the hydros for the 3 point that causes this. usually mine as the fluid heats up and thins this pto rotation goes away or slows a lot.
is there a 3 point implement connected to the 3 point? I think a lot of these tractors the pto will spin due to the flow of oil. so put something on it and have the pto disengaged and then see if it spins, then you will know for sure if there is a problem.
I guess you will not see this but just in case you do , I am saying that this site is loosing a huge wealth in info. with your leaving. IMO
I found on ebay a small housing 3/4 inch in and out rated at 15 gpm 25 micron 33 bucks went with that can not hurt ,bottom in reservoir tank not to bad but not to good either and hoses are 50 years old, so this should catch the trash.
it uses the same pressure plate bearing and clutch disc as a farmall cub and a 3 speed trans one version uses 2 trans back to back that make them 9 speed. I think I will pull the hydro tank and look at the bottom for sludge.
when you check the filter make sure you get a good flow from the tank there is a screen (that can get plugged) above the shut off valve in the tank on most. I think in some way you are running lean.
yep that is what it is, and good I will leave it alone.
