maybe I am wrong on this but it should have had two battery’s either 12 or 24 volt. two would take care of the problem which I think is the oil in the lifting systems and trans. adding to much load when cold ,guess you could include engine oil also. but no room even if I wanted to add a second battery. I just ordered a port plug so I can wire the heaters together on a common mounted receptacle for a extension cord. Bob would you think one hour of heating should make a difference. the battery heater is 80 watt the block heater is 600 watt.
yeah the JCB Perkins 1004 powered backhoe is hard to start in cold weather so I and adding a block heater and the battery warmer, hopefully that well help.
I agree remember diesel bugs can not survive with out moisture, no water, no bugs and or rust. Diesel is a light oil it will put a light film on raw metals with agitation (sloshing) to keep moisture vapors in check. The glass bowl is your friend, look at it before starting.
I would look at the price of a replacement tank and then maybe have a coating placed in it, just so you know if the fuel was good as in no water in it upon filling , the cause was condensation in a partially filled tank,( that’ s if it rain not come in around the fuel cap or vent )it is best to keep the tank full . So if you reseal the old tank and then keep it partially filled the moisture might not rust the tank but will go to the rest of the fuel system.(bad too). Is the tractor kept under cover? If not should be. I think these Chinese tractors are more prone to rain intrusion into oil and fuel systems.
I seem to remember that now that you wrote that, I guess no one else fools with them. Putting new tires on the JCB back hoe going with 14 ply all the way around , hopefully that will be the last set I need.
well it has been a few more years since I last posted this, the neighbor had over 20 hives now down to 2, wife has none now . Is anyone having any luck with bees?
well if you need parts you will need to contact some one who is in the business but I would measure the ball joint thread diameters and thread pitch and remember one side is a left hand thread the other side is right hand and as for the switch remove it from the dash and write down how many wires there is and terminal locations to help in case there is not a x cross reference. as for the brakes you need to determine what kind of brakes they are wet, dry drum, dry band. that will get you started.
well it has been a little bit since I was having issues with the tach and all is still working well , so I guess that all the guessing it was the pick up .
most of these tractors have similar function controls ask what you need to maybe we can help you. no hurt to ask, please do not be vague.
I looked it up and it holds 2.4 gal of hydro fluid with no loader. Just in case you did not know. If you put in a new pump and that tractor I believe is a common sump there is not a lot that can go wrong . If there is fluid over the pick up and it is clean ,and you verified that the pump is powered . Have you checked the filter screen , it might be on the outside of the tractor in a tube. As best as I know these systems should be self purging as far as air goes. But look there it should be full of oil. If not maybe it has to much air in the system and need bleeding . It kinda takes me back to the pump not working or powered.
