I would think that the glow plugs are only used on a cold start. Do you see a charge where the switch lands when releasing from the start position? You should. If you move the switch further to the left in might be putting it into accessory only. These tractors are wired kinda different. But that is another story.
who knows I am just glad to start to get my head around it. ain’t pretty but it works.
well it seems that I do have a model 500 skid steer . But instead of the 2 cylinder pancake 24 hp k662 kohler that it should have someone did I my opinion a very good job putting a Wisconsin tjd 2 cylinder in line 18 hp in it.(it looks original, even the old paint matches ) some of the mystery solved.
I think yours is like most there is a pick up that is triggered by magnets on the flywheel look there . I think the pick up it screwed in till it touches then backed out 3/4 of a turn. There is a plug in connection there also that might be giving you trouble.
If I am not mistaken that is a support leg for a removable loader is one for each side? Or maybe a extended cylinder safety post . But I would think not because of the foot on it.
I have 2 Chinese tractors and they both have on the oil filter housing and pressure relief adjuster screw. I have not fooled with mine but I guess it could be a problem. I think it is there to keep the oil pressure from getting to high ( I suppose from a cold weather start the pressure being to high and splitting the oil filter or a plugged up filter bypass maybe) maybe someone else will chime in and give you a better answer. But I wonder maybe it is the oil pump pick up tube being cracked then sucking air , I guess it is possible. good luck
if you are using a electrical gauge put in a temporary mechanical one to verify your readings . What are your readings? I have a 2005 dong feng 204a and when at operating temps at a idle it runs around 22 lbs. Running at speed I do see some small surges in pressure which is over the 60 psi it runs at . I replaced the original metric gauge with sae.
I would suggest that if the parts are now gone replace the sediment bowl filter with another one . There are plenty of styles out there in the after market world, get one with a large clear glass bowl it will make seeing the contents(or lack thereof) easier. Filtration is a thing that is so important. and the diesel bug thing is real but they also need water to live so controlling moisture is a way to control them, there are chemical treatments also.
one thing you should think of is that the problems might not be related a engine that burns oil can run out of fuel ,be refueled and keep going. If it sat for a long period fuel might be all it is, like mentioned check the fuel bowl when you have the lower cover off put a can under it turn on the fuel make sure there is a good flow if not there might be a fuel screen in the tank valve nipple. You might want to check the engine oil and make sure it does not smell like diesel. But I do not like the idea of it not briefly running on starting fuel. Lets hope for the best.
make sure that there is a good flow of fuel coming from the tank to the lift pump, a restricted gravity system ,(which I am sure you have) might have symptoms like what you describe.
