the one requires u/v light either natural or artificial ,I wonder if a halogen light with the glass lens u/v light filter taken out would work?
wish it was closer to tn. you are in wa. right?
I guess so, but people who tail gate me then get a wall of smoke usually back off. As far as the engine goes it still has all the factory settings on the pump. It is just old tech. which lets it smoke when throttled up. But you know how they work. Do you remember what the percentage over peak fuel efficacy those engine would inject under hard throttle up? I heard that number in high school all I remember it was over 100 percent.
I just read that article, man would that be a lot left to subjectivity on the enforcing end. Hope they never follow me when I hammer down in the 1996 dodge cummins
When I bought my foton the was a parts package that came with it and there was a extra injector in the kit and other small parts. I guess that you did not get such a kit. If not, I read on this site awhile ago(maybe the old forum) that these injectors are not pricey maybe pick some up and change them out. It might be cheaper than having them gone threw by a diesel shop.
may be if possible some fuel line attached to the vent tube and carried to a higher placed around the radiator upper tank and some type of valve on the hose like what is used on vechicle differentials so it can breath. I have had trouble with some type of dirt dobber plug the vents on mine.
I got a generic lens polishing kit next time it rains I will try to remember to try cleaning them up, maybe I will get lucky.
have you tried them on the Chinese tractor lens with any luck? I used a Sylvania product on my 96 dodge with good luck it was slow process about 1/2 hr per lens but it worked well, I kinda figured the plastics used are different for manf. to manf. since I have a 2005 that is real bad but the 2006 is ok so I guess the plastic formulation are not the same.

Even try loosening them all at one time briefly to see if one leaks out more than another. which will be subjective to several variances I know . but oh well.

I am sure I forgot something .,good luck
