I have a quanchi engine a 495 I think. it has neither a glow plugs or manifold heater it starts at 20 degrees no problem. but that is not your engine. maybe it was disconnected because somebody did not know what it is or seen that it was creating a big draw on the battery and alt. and thought it was bad. I kinda find it curious that it has both unless the relay puts fuel in the system then the glow plugs light it off ,but then why would it need to be rated a 90 amps ? do you think maybe the relay heater kinda preheats the fuel for the glow plugs. I will be watching this post.

that does look good to bad about what the paint will look like when you start using it, but oh well . are you still having problems with drought in some places in Australia?

If you convert existing lights to LED type they use  a less amount of amps so the alt. might keep up easier.

if you go to a volt meter you can quickly see if the alt. is doing its job or if the engine needs some more rpms to kick in , ideally have both ,but if it was me and a choice one or the other I will take the volt meter.

well if you want to use the above method, replace fuel filter , open the bleeder screw on top of the fuel filter housing and start pumping till fuel comes out then close screw, open fuel line at injector pump , pump till fuel comes out there . then try to start. In this type of weather I would do this on a warm engine that should make it all go easier. Now what I do is remove old filter, fill new filter with good CLEAN fuel place new filter in housing and start, there again a warm engine will help the restart. If your tractor has a self contained oil sump in the injector pump it would be a good time to look  and smell the oil and replace.

I would take it out to avoid any possible damage from loose parts bouncing around in that tube. If your is like the tractors I have, collapsing the tube is easy if it has not been bent out of round. You should be able to get a quick look. I think most have had the problems with the front connection balls falling out.

I will add about pushing the air out there should be a manual pump to get fuel to the injector pump on the injector pump some use a lever , some have a knob that screws down to seal, backed out to push and prime.

a lot of these Chinese tractor use a single split pin on the lever that engages and disengages the 4 wheel drive and they are prone to breakage . That would be a good place to start, make sure that the shaft that the lever hooks to moves, if you pull the lever off you could try something like visegrips to make sure it engages and disengages. There might be a spring and ball used as a positioner on the lever do not lose those. Some people have used a pin in a pin to strengthen the pin set up.
