sometimes you just gotta do what just has to be done, but I do not know if I wouldda done that with a auto ,stick most likely
it might be a good idea to place a pressure gauge in the system to see if the pump is making enough pressure. Let me ask you this is just the lift slow? How about the bucket curling action ,slow also?
look for filters and screens. is all of your other hydro functions ok?does that have its own pump?
on my 504a foton there is a rubber grommet to the rear of the gear shifter about 2 1/2 inches in dia. take it out you will see the fill plug there,I can not remember if there is a oil level plug in the side of the trans. case or not. but I assume so.
first you need to determine if the pump is not feed from the engine , my foton 504 gets oil from the engine. there are oil lines that come from the rear of the oil filter housing going to the pump.
did you figure out where the oil went?
to take off the ferrules try a mini grinder 4 or 4 1/2 inch or a 3 inch muffler cutter and a 1/16 inch cut off wheel . you might not be able to cut the whole thing off so just pry and split near the banjo.
I seen it has been a few years since this was added to so how are the bees?
the starter needs to be taken apart and cleaned and lubed I assume. But it would not hurt to disconnect the wire to the starter and make sure it is away from a ground potential, put the key in the start position to make sure that the amp draw does not happen. There is some older posts of people successfully repairing their starters.
you are probably right about the farmers using kero . in their bulk tanks to get the diesel to light off a little easier in the winter, that is probably where I heard it.
