Okay, was able to get generator and regulator from Guys at Keno,
which gets us to the starter. It seems this was the issue from the get go. Keno says that they have no idea what this starter is. Here is what I got off the tag.
Here is the number that I got off of that starter. QD1388A
Only other info on the tag was : 12V 200 1.8kw
I am pretty certain that it has a Laidong engine.
We have taken the starter apart and cleaned it out, but still nothing.
Any ideas?
It was hooked up backwards after I had taken it to be tested. I'm sure
you are right about the alternator. I was wondering if there was a way to bypass the alternator and still start the engine? I'd like to move it into the garage. Also, I appreciate you guys responding.
Next question would be a parts supplier. Where?
Bob, you have hit it right on the nose. I was hoping I could find some sort of user manual for the controls and instruments. I have the manuals
on the engine. The control lever boots are all shot so I was hoping I could replace some of that stuff. I have figured out most of the operations, just thought it would be nice to find a manual. Also was looking for a source for parts.
