thanks I learned something new
that's assuming only mowing and discing prob a lot less miles doing routine work
2000 miles in 40 hours means an average of 50 mph, a little quick no. more like 400 miles in my book
Got the squealer apart and the stump jumpers and blades were the easy part. Other stuff was rusted and bent creating lots of headaches. Need 4 new blades but at 250 a pop trying to salvage one of the jumpers. Fired up the knife making forge, heated and pounded till it was somewhat symmetrical. We'll see.
I have a 1/2 in drive breaker bar and a piece of black pipe, hope I am not under gunned
something tells me it wont be as simple as removing a few bolts, but I will post some follow up
also listed as weldment pan, to which weldment bar and blades are bolted.
no it does not function without the cable in place to actuate it
I do not recall exactly but it was obvious when you see it. I believe you have to remove the compression mechanism to get to all the head bolts, so I just did not put mine back on. As I remember it is a lot like the 4 wheel drive ball bearings a lot of grease holding things in place while you try to get it back together, not worth the trouble for something that serves no purpose
I read the compression release cable was incompatible with the shuttle shift mechanism. You should see a small hole in the dash on the lower left side where the compression mechanism handle should be. I simply removed the lever, spring and all parts inside the valve cover of the compression release at the 50 hour. That was 120 hours ago and all is well.
