I use AW32. Love it in the winter in ND and no problem in the summer either. Change filter 200 hrs, oil looked like it just came out of the jug.

Jackpine,
I’m feelin your pain! My 07 284 isn’t charging at all. Very good chance it is just the regulator. Although, the 10si was a sweet swap on my brothers Farmall H. Leaning that way. Under a $100. I too have 4 halogens, don’t know the watts, but never noticed a problem when it was working. Good battery?
Bob, why did you go with the 12si?

I also change every 100 hrs and grease in between. How many pumps of grease do you guys put into rear axle, right inside of the wheels?

Are you a new owner? Has it done this since you bought it? This is faarr out there but, . . . I bought a parts truck that did this after I got it running, it had different gear ratios between front and rear diffs. Are you positive the right size tires are on it?

I see Keno has soft cabs for sale. I agree, just to keep the wind off, however will it fog up inside or snow stick to the outside without a substantial heat source?

Ditto on the weights. I hang 2 old tractor wheel weights, 100lbs each on mine otherwise it just scratches the gravel around. I also had to play with the pitch and angle a while before it would cut. All of those change again when I use it for snow. When I need to reshape an area, I need some moisture in the ground too.

Update;
I called most of the local farm tire stores and found one that carries the non-corrosive ballast. BEET juice! Yeah, I know. Anyway, I found out it is $4.00 a gallon, 10lbs. per gallon, good down to -35F, and they will fill them to 75%. So, . . . I need to get this done this summer as I don’t want to pay for mileage out to my place nor do I want to pull the wheels off and deliver them in the winter. Work smarter, . . . Now, all 4 or just the back ones ?Code 347 CLDTI
Tinbender,
Are they still “Store Bought Purdy”? Ya know, in the first pic, it almost looks like the push bar on your Chevy is a grill guard on your tractor, which I thought would be a great idea when hauling logs and anything else with a chain. Love your old chevs. My 72 3/4 ton is still earnin his keep too.Code 347 CLDTI

Dogdoc,
I have the same problem. Although I wouldn't give up my 5' rear mount snowblower, I really wanted a blade for the loader so I could pull the sides in and then blow it away. A 5' cut on the road requires multiple passes obviously, and a 6' blower would be nice but harder to find imo. So I got serious about having a light pivot blade made for the loader and was told I would be VERY sorry as the lateral forces on the loader would be catastrophic. So I'm screwed. 3 point blade and 3 point blower. Don't be afraid of the rear blower tho, you're really not turned around ALL of the time and the front mount blowers are spendy.
Just my $0.00000002 worth, Fido
