Ive had quite a bit of experience with diesels…. not just tractors.  Ive got thermocoupler in my 12v cummins, and my temps in the back of the engine are always hotter then the front.. Ive talked to several people and done a bit of research. I believe its because of how the water circulates in the block.  Don't believe its complete “bunk” LOL.

Have you made sure that both handles are engaged?  There's one below the seat on your left, if your sitting in the tractor.  And there's also one on the back of the tractor where you control the speed, 540 or 1000 rpm, make sure that one isn't in neutral.  If neither of these fix your problem its probably going to be a clutch replacement.  You may get away with just adjusting your clutch. If you need any more help feel free to give me a call.

Have you figured this problem out? If not i would take the top of your transmission off and see what is going on.  It is very easy to remove the top plate, just take out all the bolts that are around your gear shifter and it will come right up and off.  Also do you have 1st gear?

The hair dryer on a very cold day is a good idea, although I would not recommend holding the glow plugs for this long, that will melt them off inside the cylinder.  Pump timing adjustment may make it easier to start in the warm weather.  Another awesome upgrade to these tractors is installing a aftermarket switch to the glow plugs, the stock wiring only puts out around 10 volts when they should have 12 volts.  I do have a kit with instructions if you would like to purchase this upgrade, or you can do it yourself very easily.  Also, smoking when are cold is normal as it is with any mechanically injected diesel engine.  Any questions feel free to give me a call!

We have done this for customers at our shop before, very easy to do if you have access to a welder!  Do you already have the frame?

Sounds like youve got air in your system.  This is a common issue.  To fix it, while the tractor is running crack the injector lines one at a time and let diesel fuel come out for a few seconds before re-sealing.  You will hear the difference in the engine when you do this.  Make sure you do this to ALL of them, not just #1.  I can pretty much guarantee this will fix your problem.  Also, as to why #1 is running a little cooler, is because your coolant enters the engine block in the front and as it heads towards the back it heats up from engine heat.  Hopefully this helps!  If you have any more questions feel free to give me a call.  laugh

The clutches in these tractors aren't as fragile as one would think. Here at Keno Tractors, we have a service department and we don't do a lot of clutch work here. As suggested above, make sure you're in low gear when using your loader as this will have less wear and tear on your clutch and tractor in general. We have replacement clutch kits here that come with everything from a throwout bearing to a pilot bearing and even a clutch alignment tool. Unfortunately, there aren't any 'upgraded' clutches out there for these tractors. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call us.

Thank you all for responding to our recent post. Here at Keno Tractors, we have been in close communication with Jinma and it appears as though we will be getting these tractors in early 2015. As most of you know, all tractor manufacturers are increasing the price of their tractors to comply with the EPA regulated Tier IV engines. Most of these companies will see a 3500-4500 dollar increase in the cost of the tractor. Fortunately for Jinma, the cost of these tractors won't be quite as high as these other companies. Our 254 Jinmas will be selling for $13,500.00 which will include the Perkins diesel. Our Jinma 354 and 454 will sell for $16,900.00 and $19,900.00. Both the 354 and 454 will be coming with the Mahindra Common Rail Diesel. In regards to the 454, we are excited to announce the Jinma 454 will be coming with a cab as well.

We will be announcing more details about these new Jinmas as we draw near to their arrival. Please visit our website at http://www.kenotractors.com  periodically as we will be releasing more information about these tractors and other exciting moments.
