I would check your front driveline.  That is a common problem with these tractors.   It has a metal cover over the driveline.  Take that off.  Inspect the driveline.

A lot of times, there are metal ball bearings that fall out and allow the driveline to freely rotate without turning front axle.

There are also couplers in there that sometimes fail.  I do have kits to repair the driveline.  Feel free to get ahold of me if you need anything.

Like David said,  I would use the hand primer.   Give that pump about 30+ pumps and crank the tractor over.  Usually these tractors will bleed themselves just using that pump and cranking it.  I have never personally used the bleeder screw on the pump itself.

Any diesel is no fun to start once it has run out of fuel.

I have these kits in stock, and if you have any other questions you could also talk to George out in the shop.  He is very knowledgeable on these tractors, has worked on them for about 10 years.

I can also get to that page,  but when I click anything inside of that window it says I do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.  Does it also say this for you?

You just have to align the shifter with the H pattern shift guide plate.   Also have to make sure the High Low lever gets into the slot in the transmission.  If both of those are in the right place the cover should go on without a problem.  If you have any more qestions feel free to call or email me.

I recommend to everyone that you upgrade the glow plug switch.  I have a kit here to do it, that I can sell and send out.  Or you can build your own kit.  We have found that you do not get the full amount of power to the glow plugs if you use the ignition key switch.  Run a wire from your battery to a switch on your dash, then a wire from switch to glow plug bar.  This will help out a ton with cold starting.

That is a pretty awesome car, good range and lots of power!  And I was very impressed with the warranty!!! lifetime warranty on battery and drive unit?! That’s almost unheard of.  But I’m sure you pay a pretty penny for that car.

I have not tested this on the tractors…..

But I own a 94 Cummins 12 valve.  I will run my truck on used oil, ATF, hydraulic oil, diesel mixed with gas, kerosene, any type of fuel!  It runs great.  EGT’s get a little hotter with some of the fuels.  And will plug a fuel filter every now and again.  Just shows that diesels will pretty much run on anything, as long as they fuel system can handle it.

Over in China,  they run the Jinma tractors (and I’m sure many others) on peanut oil.  The “diesel” they have is very interesting,  there is usually a fair amount in the tanks of our tractors when they get to our shop.  It smells very strange, feels very dry and is a different yellowish color.
