What I don't understand is what company or companies manufacture Chinese backhoes? There is no company name plate on my backhoe. The manual simply state “Made in China” without any reference to the manufacturer. Resellers of the LW-6 don't list the manufacturer either. Does anyone know if parts for the LW-6 are interchangable regardless of the manufacturer? If not, how would you get parts if you don't know the manufacturer, other than purchasing them from the original reseller?
Paolo,
You may want to check out China Depot as well. They're located not far from you in Rhode Island. That's who I bought my tractor from.
Paolo,
I have an LW-6 Chinese backhoe on a TC254 Luzhong tractor
(imported under the name Terra Cyclone). It’s similar to the Jinma 254. It has its own PTO pump and reservoir.
Although the controls could be smoother, overall I’m happy with the backhoe.
The pump does, however, make a loud grinding noise when any of the hydraulic cylinders reach the end of their stroke. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to do that, or if there is a pressure relief
valve that is not working properly. I’ve use it mainly for planting trees and
removing stumps, so it’s imperative I build a sub frame. The backhoe drags the whole tractor even with
the loader’s teeth firmly embedded in the ground and the outriggers down. I think the sub frame will help as I’ll be
able to put more weight on the outriggers, since the backhoe will no longer be
able to pivot at the TPH.It’s the only backhoe I’ve ever owned, or operated for that
matter, so weigh my opinion with that in mind. I’ve included the backhoe specs from the manual .
Although I don't have a Jinma, my tractor is probably an almost exact clone. I have not been able to find a backhoe subframe that fits my tractor, so I'm building one. Since my tractor is a new obsession of mine, I might not be the best source of information.
I thought the problem was the discharge port should be connected to the “P” port rather than the “T” port of the loader.
My hydraulic pump problem wasn't a consequence of the quick-connects. I purchased a crated tractor and had zero experience with hydraulics. I used photos supplied by by the factory. Obviously a mistake! I attached the photo sent by the factory (I added the caution box so nobody uses this picture if they find it on a Google image search). The second photo shows the consequences of following the factory's directions. Luckily I dealt with a very reputable deeler and I was overnighted a new pump.
Thanks Bob for the encouragement. I'll post some pictures of the subframe after I start fabricating the parts.
Starting where I left off before the SNAFU:“Another reason for reinforcing the FEL subframe are two cutouts on the rectangular tube of the subframe. One is shown in the included picture. The other is on the inner side of the same tube toward the rear. As you can see from the picture, it is very roughly cut. It came directly from the factory this way. Does anyone know what they could be for?”
Another reason for reinforcing the FEL subframe are two cutouts on the right side rectangular tube of the subframe. One is shown in the included picture. The other is on the opposite side of the same tube towards the rear. As you can see from the picture, it is very roughly cut. It came directly from the factory this way. Does anyone know what they could be possibly for?
You can't tell from the picture, but the notched flat bar (I should say soon to be flat bar) extending behind the vertical plate will extend forward the entire length of FEL subframe. It will tie into and reinforce the FEL subframe. Thanks for your input.
