Well just an update I am another step closer to finishing the cylinder rebuilds on my Z30 FEL. I contacted Hercules Sealing Products and they are custom building me some HP urethane seals and I also purchased a installation tool kit to put the inside seals in. Installed my first cylinder by hand and it was a real b**ch trying to fold the seals into the recessed groves inside. The tool should be real handy when I rebuild the BH cylinders.

I should have the FEL running this weekend. The contact at Hercules if you need seals is:

        Thanks

I talked to Tommy and he doesn't have the kits for the LW-7. I'll check with Ron & Phillip, if they don't have the kits then I'll pull the cylinders apart and then match up the seals at a seal shop.

          Thanks much!

There is a O'Reilly Auto Parts  about 15 miles away (the only auto store or tractor store I didn't check) and I just called them and they have some in stock.  Will be picking up several 5 gallon buckets tomorrow.

Good read on the multi-vis hydraulic oils.

          Thanks again

            Bob:

Thanks for the information. I have looked around for the multi-viscosity ISO AW 32/46/68 and none of the shops around hear have it. What brand do you use? I'll look to get it off the net.

            Thanks much

I hope that you are all having a good day. I myself have been having a difficult
time finding some seals to rebuild some cylinders. I
started the project and the first cylinder I took apart was full of metal pieces.
The piston and cylinder were all ripped up. I bought another new cylinder from
Tommy and I have rebuild kits for (4) of the cylinders from Affordable Tractor.
I put the new cylinder on and rebuilt the second front (bucket) cylinder then
started on the boom cylinders. The other (2) cylinders must have been made from
another supplier to Jinma and can’t find rebuild kits (my luck).  I have the pictures inserted. The top piston is the one that everyone has rebuild kits for, the bottom piston in the picture is the one I can’t find rebuild kits for. I went to a hydraulic shop and they want $200 to $300 to start to make new seals. I am currently working with Hercules Seals to get some from them.
Anyone have this problem and have a solution?

First of all THANKS for you being a veteran and your service to our country!

I love the sign and the first amendment and think more people should express what they think about what is happening to them. Just hate to see what is happing to people that they have to put a sign like this up. I was referring to the local politicians that are suppressing businesses.

I don't know what part of the country you are living in, but all is not fine in the South East. There are literally hundreds of housing sub divisions unfinished and thousands of vacant foreclosed homes in the Atlanta area for the past five years that are not being sold and still high unemployment. I personally know a few hard working families that lost all the past few years. I'm shaking my head.

                “Always Prepared, but finished”

As for myself I'll always look for a better future and keep the faith!

I am a veteran as my father, many relatives, close friends and forefathers were and think this is the BEST country in the world. Much blood and lives were given to protect our freedoms, but the last four years I have seen such a decline in our freedoms and travesties against our Constitution  I don't know where we will end up. I never thought I would see the end of the good old “USA” in my life time. I still have faith in all the “AMERICANS” that value the true meaning of our Constitution.

“LIFE LIBERTY AND THE PURSUITE OF HAPPINESS FOR ALL”

I think this is what we should be thinking about for the upcoming Holiday that we celebrate on the 4th of July and all that fought for us to here today. I am afraid that the people that live free in the good old USA do not know the meaning of “Independence Day”.

Just wish the people that are elected would follow their oaths and follow the Constitution.

Sorry to see signs like this.

I'll most likely rebuild the cylinders by this weekend depending on the weather. It has been raining every day here.

I had the same problem for quite a while with my FEL Z30. Ron gave me the same instructions at that time. Thanks Ron!

Recently I was helping my neighbor put in a driveway and the truck drive accidently lost 12 ton of the load in one place. I tried to get as much as possible as fast as possible moved to a different area. I blew a hose connection on the FEL, got that fixed, finished the project, the next time I went to use my tractor to move some dirt for a concert pad at my house the FEL bucket curl dropped and would not hold up. I ended moving the dirt by wheel barrow. So much for helping out neighbors. I am currently rebuilding all four cylinders and put another post on that subject today. I got the cylinder kits from Jerry at Affordable tractor.

I'll be rebuilding by next weekend.
