My 354 has a hook under the front end on the frame and has a big implement hitch on the rear.  Used the rear one to pull cars out of my front field after they spun out on icey roads, and used the rear one to pull out several 4X4 trucks that got stuck in the mud. Luckely i have not used either to pull my tractor out when I got stuck, just used the BH & FEL to crawl out.

        Thanks all!

Craigs List has them for sale every couple of days, but if you are not watching your computer the time they list, it's gone. Everyone that I called on so far was bought by the first person that called them… Must be that everyone around here is putting up fences.  Tractor Supply has them on sale for $400.00 and then another $124.00 for a 9″ auger.  I'll keep looking.

I just spoke to a guy on Craigs list right up the road from me. He had a LB 7300 and sold it while I was talking to him on the phone when someone pulled into his yard. Sold for $375 with a 9″ auger was used but looked new from the pic.

          I'll keep looking.

          Thanks

Too bad this video was not out about three weeks ago when I sunk my 354 down to the frame. I might be in the hospital today.  Lucky that I have a BH and FEL and pulled/pushed my way out.

I guess I grew up in the era when if something didn't work right we gave it a rap, it either worked or we replaced it.  Remember to B&W TVs, when the picture started to flip or went ou,t an easy fix was to hit the side ot the TV, if it kept having a problem we would look at the tubes to see if they were glowing. then take some tubes out and take to the hardware store and plug them in their tube tester.

Anyway that was the old days. I got a new sending unit (sensor) from Afordable today, put it in and now the temp guage works fine.

Check your electrical connections. My fuel guage went out on my 2007 354, cleaned the connection and worked great.

Changed the oil to AW32, reset the PRV to the factory setting ( when I took it out to clean and put it back in I needed to put it one more turn in), have the PTO set at 540, started it up and at 900rpms engine speed, dug a test hole and the BH worked 1,000% better than with the factory pto pump.  The Prince pump really makes a difference. The real test will be this weekend when I try to did out 5 stumps.

I spoke to Prince tech support and they said not to run the pump more than 540rpms.  I guess when I put the engine speed up to 1,500 the pump was over working and started to make the bussing noise only when I moved any of the control levers.

I'll keep it at 900 – 1,000rpms while working with the BH.

                  Thanks

The guage peged out right after I put the new PTO pump on and before  I started working in the engine area to set the  head torque/valve setting. I checked the wire and when I remove the wire the guage bottoms out. I pulled the sensor out, tapped it a few times, put it back in and still pegs out when I turn the key on. Turn the key off and the guage bottoms out.

The engine ran well as is, but needed to do the the 50 hr. maintenance. I pulled the valve cover off today then took the rocker arm assembly off and re-torquesd the head bolts @140 ft lbs. Checked the valve lash and found most valves to be less than the specks of 0.20 – 0.25mm for the intake and 0.25 – 0.30mm for exhaust. I set the intake at .022mm and the exhaust at .027mm.

Runs great. Now the sensor for the temp gauge went out. The needle  pegs out at high temp when I turn the key on with a cold engine.  Will have to order a new sensor unit.

                      Thanks

I got the sequence of the bolt locations from the printed manual so I should be alright. Still working on my BH with the new pump, the shops I took the hoses & fittings messed up (I should have taken charge but they had limited fittings and knowledge).

I hope to pull the valve cover tomorrow and set the valves.

                        Thanks
