      10-4 Thanks.

So that is a suction filter not a return filter.

Ran into the same thing recently when I split mine for clutch work. The drive shaft fell out easy enough when I pulled the two halves apart.  Im amazed I tracked down all the little balls that went rolling.  Ha!

Putting it back together I unbolted the front axle assembly from the tractor.  That is four bolts best I recall and slid the front axle forward just enough.

Tommy, Im interested in your filter hookup.  I just bought a used Jinma with loader. My other one has a home built hookup which clutters things up a bit.

Can you clarify where yours mounts again.  I dont think there is a return line near the pump (from your last post).  Or maybe Im not remembering rihgt.  This is a return filter and not a suction filter, correct?

Bob, thanks for the welcome.  I had some posts here Im sure of it but has been a long time… not sure why Im showing back from scratch…. no matter…

Still confused on the idea of the weaker link being outside so as to avoid having to split the tractor.  My clutch fork pins broke which necessitated me splitting the tractor.  The single hole on the clutch fork is pinned with a double 8×32 and 5×32 pairing.  The same pin pairing is on the outside of the the bellhousing so I don't see how one set of pins would be less likely to fail than the other since they are the same set of pins inside and outside.  (???)

I am only planning on replacing the clutch fork pin that broke.  I'll leave the one on the outside and replace it with the stock one if it ever breaks.  The way I see it, Ill have the likely-to-fail part on the outside

Bob, not sure I followed your post…???

I think the outside and inside use the same roll pins from the factory.  Errr, maybe I just didn't get the joke.embarassed

Seriously, though, am I heading the right route with using a spiral pin instead of the double split pins.
