      Here is my issue. Perhaps different from yours.

      YangDong 380: heavy diesel leak from Injector pump.

        You may have a bigger issue. I eventually had to replace my injector pump. It started with fuel leaking out what I assume was an overflow on the injector pump. (brass colour.)  It did last about 30 hours with it leaking though.

          Thanks piper for taking the time to answer with all your info.  I will do an oil change today.

            Thanks piper184.   That does séem to make sense. I will give a shot at draining and refilling with oil.

            Are you meaning that when the lift pump wears or fails it will leak fuel into the crankcase of the pump?

              If you drained the fluid and rebuilt pump, a few options…. 1. You did wait a bit when engine running, it takes 15 or 20 seconds on mine to fill the FEL cylinders and start them living and quite a few cycles to get rid of the air.

              2.  Does your pump have a bypass? My FEL valve came adjusted so low that it did not even lift the bucket. ( I then tightened it up nice so that I then popped HYD lines like candy! After a while I found the sweet spot.) If it has a bypass, did you back it off or not assemble that part quite right?

              3. Is there a leak on the inlet side of the pump. That would cause issues.

              As someone else mentioned, perhaps loosen the pump outlet a touch and see if there is any increase, problem though is that to increase the preassup for the leak to increase you pretty much have to pressurize ( fill) the whole system.

                My Jinma is like piper184 said, 3 pt won’t lift until warmed a bit, but my other hydraulic functions work well when cold.

                Is it possible whatever shaft turns your pump is broken. Seems possible if bush hog was stopped suddenly. ( I don’t know if it was running off of this pump, mine runs off of the rear PTO.

                  You will have that slop with a 3 pt. I sold my 3pt how after trying to come up with a solution, but the frame mount is a real hassle to attach and is low so drags on things you would generally clear. For the small amount of work I do, I preferred the 3 pt.

                    My 2005 jinma 254 has a similar issue that I have never really concerned myself with.  Only one item seems to get hydraulic power at a time. If I am raising the FEL and go to turn, there is not much hydraulic assistance for steering. I believe there is a valve or regulator ( on the jinma) which is just above the foot throttle, under

                    the cowl,  this determines where the pump pressure should be sent.   (Small print: I was looking into this 10 years ago so this could be completely different than I recall).

                      Metric oil seals are more or less straight forward as the size is stamped on the seal.  for example 20 47 7 indicates that the inside diameter is 20mm, OD is 47mm & width 7mm. Many seals have different lip arrangements.

                      SC=R21 & TC=R23 being the most common R21=Single Lip R23=Double Lip

                      So for example if you had on your oil seal TC 20 47 7 you would now know that you would need a double lip seal with a 20mm inside, 47mm outside & 7mm width.

                        Anyhow. I am on the road right now and just wanted to thank Davis, Rob, Piper and mark for your helpful ideas. When I get home I will try and reduce these photos by on my phone to a WordPress acceptable size so I can post them, and then try some of these ideas.  :good:
