I changed the in-tank filter (it was completely rotted away anyway) and the scren at the bottom of the injection pump (it was clean, anyway). I also replaced the fuel line from the pump to the spin-on filter, which I had patched several years ago. I mowed for over an hour with no problems, so I guess there was more going in that old hose than the pin hole I patched.
I have scoured my injection pump, and find no oil drain on the bottom, or oil level plug forward of the hand pump, as some diagrams show. I have only the dipstick, and it is still showing diesel fuel. Whatever, it works, and most pumps use the fuel for lubrication anyway, I am told.
Thanks for your help, and thanks to Jerry at Affordable Tractor!
Andy
Thanks, everybody, I've ordered new screens and a new hose and will change out next week. I'll let you know if this works!
Andy
Tommy, thanks. Does that mean the fuel in the oil reservoir is not a problem?
Andy
Comin' at you.
Thanks
Each has two numbers(left and right?)
113T: 184.37.209-1 and 250.37.209
69T: 184.37.210-1 and 250.37.210
Thanks, I've got all day to work on it today, and would love to make some progress and get a parts order in! Is there a way I can send pictures if need be?
My tractor is 20614546. My manual is entitled “Parts list with with Ilustrations”.
My broken gears are on the left side facing front, and according to my illustration, are gears 69T and 13T.
There are discrepensies with what I got and what is in the manual. The PTO (per illustration the “2nd shaft”) shaft, has no gear on the forward end, like the illustration shows, yet has two speed output. The single speed illustration shows a bare spline on the forward end, which I have, but only one output gear set.
I'm lost. I can send pictures I you tell me how.
Help!
Andy
Thank You
Howdy.
Two Questions (so Far):
1. How does the left claw come off the drive shaft? I don't see any keeper…
2. Can I back off the 52mm nut and draw the shaft and hub off in one piece?
Thanks,
Andy
I'm down in the dumps, I've a lump in my sump, but I'll conquer this bump, I'll get over this hump, it's a pain in the rump, but this hurdle I'll jump!
We have found a defect in the 13T gear which is causing the soft-stops in rotation and (most probably) caused the tooth loss from the 69T gear. I am going to proceed to remove the brake and access the 13T gear. Does this make sense, and are there any cautions or recommendations?
Thanks, everybody!PS, maybe I'll find the Stupid lump!
