Thanks RonJ ! BIG help !
Think I will move over their ?
Randy
Thanks,Tommy.
Looks like it will be me to make a manual with photos ? I use the photos to make sure it goes back together right.
So it looks like the tractor will need to be split ? Does anybody have a photo of what I will be looking at ? Best way to block the rear assembly ? Same for the front,do I need to make a stand with wheels ? Other things I'm not thinking about ? Or need to know ? Is it a wet clutch ?
Tommy will take a look at you site for the clutch and pressure plate .
I also think the loader is not moving very fast ? What is the max pressure for it ? Is their a rebuild kit for it ?
Thanks for the input !
Randy
Looks to be more like 6 Qt.s. Screwed in top of top line. Setting on the top alittle over the bottom line. Will let it sitt over the weekend and recheck it Mon. Thanks for the input!
Well then, it looks to have about a 5 qt system? This is for the front 4×4 axle on a JM354.
Thanks for the input! Randall
Photo of new plug. The hole is 1/8 ” NPT. So I just used a socket head and J/B weleded it to the end. Also in the photo is the old plug with the rouned over head with the nut welded on to remove it.
Hope this will help others? Randall
Thanks Rich! That was what I was thinking.
Built a drain plug with a magnet on it, Had to weld a nut on the plug to get it out. What a pain!
Thanks Mike.
That maybe it? I am going to hand grease the top bearing and keep a eye on the gear lub! I have been working some very uneven ground.
What lub did you refill the axle with?
Randall
yep,top gear bearing.May have been rust but I have not been in water? Maybe just bad? Can the bearings be had from Japan?China maybe the problem?
Going to pull down the other side just to check.
Thanks Randall
Tommy ,sent you a fax with a list of parts.
Thanks,Randall
Pulling down the front axle.
So,I lost the upper bearing and damaged the kingpin shaft seat, spun the race.
