Well, I got her done! The piston was ok but the big cross shaft that has the lift arms attached to it was stuck due to rust. After massaging with a big hammer I was able to get the shaft out and cleaned up the bushings and after reassembly it works just fine. I ended up removing the bolts that attaches the control quadrant and tied the whole hose bundle out of the way. I did disconnect the pressure line on top of the cover and the cover was lifted out with my buddy’s help. After that it was pretty easy.
Thanks for help. This forum is a great tool for working on these machines. :yahoo:Finally got around to working on the 3 pt lift. Took off the seat and removed all the cover bolts and now it’s loose but still have all the lines in place. Do the lines have to be disconnected and does the cover have to be completely removed to get to the piston which is hypered?
I get 1 ohm through the coil but when it’s assembled,it reads .2 ohms.
I think it is hooked to a 20A fuse/wire.
Sorry, I have an aviation background and a B- nut is what we called the nut that attaches the hose to the fitting. As in a flare fitting.Courious about an after market part. Where would one get one?
Here is the pictures I took of the glow plug thingy. I don't see anything wrong with the parts. It may be assembled wrong. It has a small fuel line that attaches with a B nut and a single wire going to a momentary switch on the dash. The whole thing is screwed into the middle of the intake manifold.
Got the mail. Thanks for the manuals, already learned a lot.

Bob,
Well after tearing my hair out looking for the downloaded files I've come to the conclusion it must be on my company computer in Alaska, I'm currently in New Mexico where I spend the winters.
Yes I sent you a message on your Facebook dozer page and I never have been able to figure out how to send a PM from this site. If its not too much trouble could you please resend the manuals to: mwerner1@Hotmail.com
I am headed to the orchard right now to push some dirt around to reestablish some irrigation contours for the spring planting of more apple trees. (wish I had your laser setup). After that's done I will tear into the 3 pt lift
Great, thanks for the info. I’ll dive in and see what’s up. I tried to send you a msg via Facebook but I don’t know if it worked so I will try doing it on this site if I can figure out how. Thanks again.
one more time
try again
