no shuttle shift option , but the forward reverse hi low shifter works good , transmission works on third gear ( too fast for snowblowing )
, when I try to get firs and second gear tractor stops after clutch released , I will remove the top of transmission this week end to see what is wrong with it

        Hi Everybody

        finally my tractor has been

repaired by a nearby tractor shop ,it was not the fuel pump only a broken valve rocker causing all the problems , not so expensive to fix

        Merry Christmas !

          Thanks Rich ,

I will order a new pump tomorrow  to finally solve the problem ,it`s winter here in Quebec Canada and I need to get my snowblower installed on the Jinma until April 15 … The tractor have a spin on fuel filter between the pump and the tank only to filter the unusued fuel return to the tank ,I hope I got a good mechanic ,it`s a really big shop who represents Perkins engines in quebec area ,

I wish to you and all CTOA members à Merry Christmas and an Happy 2012 new year !

            Hi Bob ,

My english is not very good but you have well understand ,I`m just came back from the big diesel shop I has towed the tractor to last Monday , the technician has tried to adjust the fuel pump whitout significant success ($87 hour rate ),he told me if the pump assy cost around $600 I will certainly save money to order a new one ( internal parts are unavailable around here  ) ,But the new problem ,he d`ont have any shop manual to reinstall the new pump properly ( timing) ,the pump are always on the tractor and that shop awaiting my decision ….

he found dirt somewhere in pump ,he recommends me to install an aftermarket fuel filter between the tank and the pump

I will try to order internal pump parts (rebuilt kit) or complete pump from Tommy or Ronald today

Is it possible  to have installation instructions for the technician ? tommy or Ronald have rebuilt kit or internal parts for sale  ? I need to have answers before removing the pump ( tractor runs badly but runs enough to climb on the trailer )

I have two pics of the pump assy and something has been changed on CTOA site ,i has posted few pics in the past and now I cannot put any by now …can be sent easyly by e-mail

            Thanks for your help

            Stephan

                Hi Everybody,

I don`t know if pump pics shows with this reply ,it seems i`m not better with computers than diesel engines .. I have inverted 2 injectors to make a test this morning and the front cylinder injector works perfectly on cyl 2 but make nothing on cyl 1 pure fuel are coming (maybe without enough pressure ) I got two pictures of that pump and I will retry to add them shortly

                Thanks Stéphan

                    Hi everybody,

I have removed all three injectors and all have the same shape ,black dust whitout any wet spot , but a little needle point are showing in the center ,none on the brand new injector I bought to replace the bad one , is it normal ?

                    Stephan

                      Thanks Bob,

I will try Diesel clean and replace fuel filter ,hope it will be OK

If it not works ,how to know what injector are concerned ? ,in the past i got a similar problem on another Jinma 254 and somebody on this forum ( maybe you ) told me the temperature of the bad injector will be different if you touch with finger ,at that time the engine has a hard knocking sound .

All 3 injectors seems to have same temperature and no knocking sound

                      Thanks

                      Stephan

                        Hi ,

since yesterday I have the same problem ,at low rpm my 43 hours 2011 JM 254 tractor makes a lot of white smoke who smells unburned fuel and seems to have a little lack of power ,at higher rpm it makes black smoke with white puffs every 10 seconds ,no knocking noises

Plesae help me if someone know

                        Stephan
