After the conversation with the fellow at the Puyallup store I again used the online contact form asking why they had this form if they didn’t do online ordering, and was told the first reply I received was from someone that didn’t know what they were talking about and that they do indeed have online ordering. After looking at the site again I see there are things that can be ordered online, but 3 point auger bits aren’t one of them. You can order the replacement tip, and bits for a 2 man post hole digger but that’s it. Anyway I’m picking up the one at the feed store today so all is good.
Yes, all motor oil used to have sulfur along with other anti friction/ anti wear additives, but the sulfur was removed from gasoline engine oil for emissions reasons. The newer diesel oils have very reduced levels of sulfur, but at least still some, so I use it in all my older gas engines that have a standard camshaft. All newer cars use roller rockers for this very reason, the lack of sulfur otherwise causes premature wear of the camshafts of older engines. There are many anti wear additives in all motor oils, more so in diesel engine oil. :good:
Right now, nothing but trouble and zombies are in the mechanical devices.
Put ATF in there and you ain’t seen nothing yet. :negative:I use AW46
I’ll be interested in the outcome of this. It sure has all the earmarks of a missing tooth on the ring or pinion.
I’ve noticed that small projects like water and utility trenches can be done with something of this size around here as long as you don’t hit a lava cap or large rock buried. Otherwise it’s sandy “Central Oregon Moon Dust” mixed with lots of smaller rocks, boulders and hard, compacted earth. I have a spot for a 10×20 shed for a wood shop that will be on skids as I test with an old 1″x18″ drill bit and so far the rock/lava cap underneath is at least 20×30 feet and I haven’t found the edges yet!
I need to check mine, it hasn’t charged in quite some time. Not a big deal to throw a charger on it every 4 months or so but last year when we had 2-3 feet of snow overnight it was dead and of course 300 feet from the nearest outlet. I should probably make sure that doesn’t happen again :^)
That one had/has me scratching my head
Inquiring minds want to know.
“good to see that you are still above ground.”
Speaking of which it's the 3rd anniversary of my kicking the bucket at the local hospital. I came out of the coma at OHSU the day before Halloween. I remember telling my wife that I don't want to be a Zombie next year.
