Thanks.
I've been thinking of building a removable cab out of 1/2″ square tubing and plexiglas when I run out of projects, if that ever happens. On the same subject, anyone use an electric heater in a soft cab like they sell at Harbor Freight?
I change the oil at least once a year just to make sure it isn't absorbing moisture or getting acidic. Most years it's more often. I'll look at the oil, smell it, even rub it between my fingers. Not sure why I do that last one, but the combination tells me when I should change it.
Hmmmmm Turkey! Happy Thanksgiving !
“It is all in the engineering.” Precisely what concerns me.
Sounds about right. 2400 is really winding up one of these engines, I wouldn't think of running at that speed even for a few seconds.
About the only time I run that high is when I'm going down the road from one side of the property to the other. But I don't plow anything but snow with it. When I'm using the box blade with the tines down maybe 1700, but that's about max for me.
Wonder if it's a stuck check valve in the filter or filter housing? Quite a few years ago there was a run of these tractors with defective plastic check valves in the filter housing that would crack and cause problems. With 1,000 hours on yours maybe something like that has happened?
No, and I hate to say it but I've procrastinated to the point that it has rolled over the 100 hour mark. I picked up a five of aw42 the other day, fixed a leaking seal on a steering ram hose and greased everything, now I need to change the fluids (except engine oil and coolant) and do the head re torque and check the clutch adjustment. My problem is finding time, too many pressing chores and not enough time.
I wonder what happened to the thumbs up/down buttons? I would give David a thumbs up, completely agree.
