I think it was a chicken coop turned aviary, It'll be a chicken coop again. A customer bought a place literally out in the middle of nowhere and had no use for this. He loaded it on the trailer with a 6 wheel forklift, it had around 200lbs. of concrete on each post with 4″ nails imbedded in the postsyell. After getting that out of the way (it wouldn't clear the fenders if I could move it) I leveled the posts and drilled 5/8 holes for axles and used threaded rod and $4.00 Harbor Freight wheels.laugh  It's going across 300' of fairly level ground and I figured if I put the three point under one end and lifted it up just off the ground I could tow it with the tractor just like a tow truck.hmmm

This is why I asked, I want to be able to lift one end or the other with the box blade an inch or three and steer it where I want it.

Put another way, if a three point can lift a backhoe, how much do they weigh?

I made my bucket forks out of 1×3 tubing, I think. I've lifted the rear wheels off the ground with a box scraper as a counterweight so they're plenty strong enough. I'll measure them and post the exact size. The steel, 1/4″ chain and binders came in just under 50 bucks.

Hard to go wrong with Stihl. Four strokes give you more torque per cc but don't wind up as high. All that is factored in though when it's designed. The main difference is way less emissions, easier starting and no mixing. I wonder how they conquer having oil pressure at any angle, do they have a pump, reservoir and dry sump?hmmm No idea about longevity. If it were me I'd do just what you're doing, ask questions, google, and ask more questions.

I've never seen the words fall off the side of the screen like that before.

                  What's up with that?

But is it still raining?roflmao  Seriously, thanks for letting us know how it turned out. It can save hours of diagnosing and dollars when you're up against something for the first time knowing how the problem was fixed by someone else.

What is a 100F thermostat anyway, another word for gasket?
