Is the PTO engaged? Has the PTO been running with the pumps hoses disconnected?
When I bought my 71 Chevy 3/4 ton it was a trade in at the dealer I worked for, the steering wheel was cracked and the pieces would slide around and pinch your hand something awful. The only wheel the parts store had in stock was about that size, and it's still on the truck. With manual steering I call it my anti-theft device because if you aren't used to it the first time you try to turn you're going off the road!
I agree, something is leaking, maybe blown seals. My 284 does not have float, but will stop anywhere I want it to. This is vital to using a post hole auger.
The system is self bleeding. If you have air it is caused by a loose fitting, bad o-ring, something like that on the suction side.
My 284 has a separate pump for the steering with a small reservoir in front of the radiator. The seals on the lines at the ram leak and every once in a while I get the same condition as you have, and top off the tank to fix.
Any wax and grease remover will do, and they don't hurt rubber. I'm impressed with the new water based products as well. Valspar, House of Kolor, all the paint companies have both , I like U-POL brand water based myself, cheaper than paint company brands and good. The main thing with all of them is wipe on with one rag, wipe off immediately with another, otherwise you're just lifting dirt and moving it somewhere else.
Sorry, all out of hoe jokes. Seriously, if my bout in the hospital hadn't set me back financially big time this thing would be sold right now. For that kind of deal I would buy one, just not this year.
Right now I'm so broke I can't pay attention.
I worked at a shop on San Pablo Ave. in Emeryville, a little strip of land between Oakland and Berkeley they actually call a city. The ones that were strung out walking down the middle of the street naked, yup, they were funky.
“that was the funkiest looking 'hoe I've ever seen.”
You've never been on San Pablo Avenue in Oakland have you?
Hello Gary. This site had always let guests post a question, unfortunately spammers took advantage. Guests can no longer post. But look around, there are still plenty of current posts. Hope you're doing better.
I'm wondering what is meant by full throttle myself as I never run mine above 2000 rpm max. On a side note Mazda has a new diesel for the model 6 with a low 14-1 compression and a redline around 4,000 or above!
