They should be at the end of those springs, in the center, holding the springs onto the end of their respective shafts. Not the same valve as mine but would expect to find them there
Come to think of it the weigh scale ticket I was shown could have been a private scale, I don't remember. At least back in the seventies you would probably see no more than a dozen other cars on the road from here to Idaho
The truck does have the heavy duty disc brake package, heavy duty spring w/overload package (leaf springs that mount at the rear of the frame and rest under the track bars where the coils mount), 4.10 gears and a compound 4 speed. If not loaded and not on a hill I take off in third, shifting into fourth at around 20mph or so.
I bought my 71 Chevy 3/4 ton from the original owner, he special ordered it to his specs. He showed me a weigh scale slip from the mid seventies that got my attention for two reasons. He used to tow trailer loads of cement statues from here to Idaho, and this truck and trailer crossed the scales at a little over 18,000 lbs! The weight was the first thing that made me think “Wow”. The second thing was how did they let him through?
I concur. You are talking about bringing a knife to a gunfight. I've sweated heavily when towing a car trailer behind a half ton long bed Chevy full size pickup on the highway (when the trailer decides to do that sway back and forth thing). Now if you were only going around the block, OK. But I don't think that's what you're intending.
I see what you mean about the phone numbers. Have you tried e-mailing them? Also there is a website out of China I believe when I googled YTO Tractors.
Spring must be here, I think this is the start of a heat wave. It's 31 this morning, and yesterday almost got up to 50! Of course they're calling for snow all week, so that should keep things warmer than if the skies were clear, but I'm sure it's looking like spring somewhere. Last year the Iris finally bloomed in late July
Toby, first of all welcome to CTOA. I have a Jinma tractor and the dealer I got it from (Keno Tractors) provided me with a crossover list. He doesn't sell Futon tractors or I would have sent you his way for part numbers. I re-cross referenced the Wix numbers over to Purolator as I can get those for less. Last year when picking one up the store I get them from had my oil filter size on sale for $1.00 for the top of the line filter. I bought 10 of them . Wix are good filters, all Napa filters are made by Wix, but my local Napa store thinks everything they sell is gold plated even though I have an account with them The Futons are not as common as Jinmas, anything you have a question about click on the dealers link at the top of the page and you will find Futon dealers that will help with Futon specific questions. Good luck with your tree farm, 50 acres is a good size hobby.
BTW, excellent work Bob
You should have to push half as hard, with the wire rope sheave acting as a snap block.
Thinking the same thing myself
