      On my 2008 284 (same thing as a 254) :

      Ammeter 30

      Front Lamps 20

      Rear Working Light 7.5

      Flasher 10

      Horn 10

      Preheat 30

Sounds like you have a short in the horn circuit. Unplug the horn and try it. If it still blows the fuse you have some tracing to do, perhaps the switch.

That is one of the recommended uses for this product, as that is usually where this problem starts.

I did not mean to imply that Bob.The hose sprung a leak on the outside radius where it curves around the injection pump, no chafing or sharp objects nearby. Looking at the ends of both hoses they are cracked and split, pretty obvious they are made out of inferior rubber. If I was putting Chinese hoses back on I'd save my money and use cheaper antifreeze knowing now that the hoses will fail every few years and dump the stuff anyway.hmmm

The hose from the air cleaner to the intake is failing (rotting) on both ends where it is clamped also. I'll replace that with a metal tube and short hoses at either end. No sense putting another crap hose on every few years.

Well I'll do my best to explain: I clicked on the tree, clicked upload, then browse, chose this scan converted to jpg. Photos or scans have to be shrunk to around 100kb I think, and it puts it into your own file manager. From there you close that out, the window the tree opened up will still be there. Now click browse and choose the photo in your file manager you want to post and voilà, there it is! Simple no? no?roflmao

If you want to go this route the Wrecking yard can be your friend, just about every car made in the last twenty years has at least one.hmmm

Measure the one you need and call Tommy at Affordable, Ronald at Ranch Hand, or Eric at Keno Tractors depending on where you live, any of these guys can get you set up. I'd by two in case you bend/mess one up, they're cheap enough. A socket the same size as the plug will do for install. For the oil I use Shell Rotella 15-40, you'll have to flush it and change the filter after running it for 20 minutes or so, so order a couple filters with those core plugs. Get some radiatior flush, don't need the super high strengh, run water and drain, run the flush till hot and drain, flush with water one more time and drain. Then fill with “Final Charge” coolant and the system will likley be set for the life of the tractor. Don't know if you have a Car Quest nearby, they are running a special on the Final Charge right now.

Don't remember if it was Tommy or Ronald that nailed your problem down, but whichever one of them it was I'd throw'em a few bones and order from them if it was me.cool

I Googled the WIXEY WR100 6 in. Digital Calipers with Fractions, not bad, looks real close to the one I have that Harbor Freight no longer sells, right down to the case. Worth taking a look at Rich. Checked it out at Amazon.com, lots of toys to choose from there. Might be less elsewhere, I didn't check.hmmm

That's the part number of the one I have and you're right, they don't make it anymore. The closest thing they have is a #47257  Inches/metric, but no fractional.

I'll check them out next time I'm in Bend and pick a few up when on sale if the fractional thing is not a deal killer for you.
