Sounds like that would take the fun out of it. I have a wood lathe, table saw, radial arm saw, etc. I made a table with adjustable hight casters to set behind the table saw for cutting 4×8 sheets of stuff. I built a router table into the top with removable fences, and jigs to mount a pantograph for making signs. Took a foot pedal and mounted it on one of the legs so I can push it with my knee while making the signs, works quite well. I really need to build a large shop as one garage was turned into a bedroom when the youngest was born. Now half my wood shop needs to be moved outside to have room to do anything
Could not agree with you more Cowboy, the site's really lookin' good
I know problems to keep a heads up for that I've never experienced before, because others here have. Mods I never would have dreamed of myself. It's ALL good.
” Davids comments, while purported to be helpful, have been couched in language that comes across to me, (and evidently to Hal as well), as snide, condescending and demeaning”
That's my take. I would add egotistical and just flat out rude. My 2 cents.
I'm a dealer for them, keep it in stock. Here's a tip: When you open a can of Por 15, put a baggie or some other plastic between the can and the lid. That stuffs so tough it will weld the lid to the can.
I've had a few cars in the past where I put a tee fitting on the oil and temp outlets and used the gauges AND an idiot light to remind me, hey idiot, look at the gauges! These were cars that were street/strip and tended to overheat in traffic. A few of the hot rod product companies make oil idiot light sensors that go on at 15-20 lbs. instead of the factory 5 lbs. Don't know if I would hear a buzzer, guess I would if it was loud enough. ( One of the pleasures of seat time, ya can't hear the cell phone ringing )
The ones I'll be trimming off the trees have a strong oder but burn hot and long, Juniper trees. The thing about these is they grow to twenty to fourty feet tall in about twenty years, then live as long as 1,000 years or more. Signs of repeated lightning strikes and breaks like this snowstorm can give a clue that a tree is old, but sometimes hard to tell. An old logger friend once told me some good advice. When cutting Juniper trees take note of wind direction, then cut from the other side. Hundreds of years of dirt and sand blown into the bark can dull a chainsaw right quick
I'm not sure I'd want to know how well it works.
I've tried to hold my breath I know Hal is doing what he can ,the new sites been up what? 45 hrs.?
Hey, I have been around long enough to know the difference between supporting someone I believe is doing the best of their ability's in a given time frame and kissing someones butt. The audacity of some clown who doesn't even know me calling me a butt kisser? Sorry, David, you're WAY out of line. Take some Midol and call me in the morning girl
David, I for one have just enough computer sense to get myself in trouble, so I am of no help to Hal
You, on the other hand sound like you could be of assistance, so I'll make you a deal
I certainly don't like the rhetoric getting to the banishment point, soooooo
You help Hal get the old posts on to this site, I'll mail you a check for $15.00
If you feel you have been wronged paying for a membership for something you are no longer
happy with, I'll sent you a check for $15.00
The man is doing his best, beating him over the head with a keyboard isn't going to improve the site.
ANY member who can genuinely help PLEASE DO.
Well, I found the pics and loaded them onto the last post, three of four showed up, but without the ability to resize up (no mouse icon) I edited the post by removing the pics, then I could not add text or anything else to the edited post. If I only had a brain….
