Starter replaced. runs like new! Thanks folks!
Replaced the front axle housing, and steering support seat now secured with new bolts! Thanks Tommy at Affordable for the parts. Piece of cake repair!
great tips! Thanks!
I put it on the inside of the fender, behind the ROP bar, sorta behind the seat to my left. It just fit. Ran cables from battery, through a battery disconnect switch.
My experience has been good with very intermitent use of the pole saw. I had mounted a 2500 watt unit initially, and it would only power the saw on slow speed (it's a two speed Try Bilt pole saw). Didn't matter though as I unwittingly left the tractor and mounted inverter out in a big rain storm and the inverter guts were still wet when I turned it on again. Fried the thing! Might have just been fuses inside, but I went ahead and replaced with the 5k watt unit for more power…. and added a rubber boot to keep it dry!
No, didn't do anything with the alternator, and I mounted a 5000 watt inverter. Does just fine with the electric Troy-Bilt pole saw/weed wacker unit. The orchard is a long way from electricity so having 110V mobile on the tractor is great.
whew… you were right! I decided to spray some brake cleaner and wait a while and that helped.
Thanks All! I will order the new pump, flush system. Get it back in order.
No not yet. Only spent a few minutes fussing with it. Maybe next weekend I'll get to it after I bulk up my forearm muscles!
Oh heck, I figured it out! The hub shaft didn't move, it was the collar just behind the wheel that had come loose, with one bolt missing. The wheel was moving inward. I jacked it up, pulled the rear wheel off and then found two of the three remaining bolts on the collar were losse. Tightened it all up where it should be, and put wheel back on. Looks good now, although I'll have to buy that fourth bolt.
And it's 100 F out here today!!!
