      I adjusted my clutch a couple years ago on my 284 but I only removed the left bracket by the bell housing to get access to the clutch.It worked fine with the loader at rest on the floor.

            Ok thanks..I was looking thru Tommys parts list and was wondering if that was a upgraded part..Looks like I'll get my list started to order a few things. Thanks Guys

              My alternator mount has no “ears” It is a small piece of steel with 2 holes where it bolts on to the engine block and a hole that is threaded  for the #10 bolt for the alternator. It is sort of a small “L “braket.the spacer is between the alternator and the bracket. (unless there is a “newer type mount??) The load is the weight of the alternator and the viberations from the engine. I don't think I could get good threads in the mounting block if I tried to drill and tap it for 3/8 ,,maybe I could helicoil it tho??
