oldfart2,
Please note that the squealing noise starts as soon as I move the lever 1/4 inch from center.
The adjusting “stop nuts” that you mention are for controlling the limits at each end of the lever adjustment
and have no effect on the centering of the rear hitch lever. Thanks anyway 😉

BoB,
LOL…yes , PUMP…not Motor.
I imported the tractor from the manufacturer in China. This issue is part of my pre-delivery inspection being done by myself. All fluids have been changed and fasteners tightened.
This hydraulic issue seems to be the last remaining issue.
However, if not solved I could find myself with a cracked PUMP casing.Veggie
Thanks Bob
Oops! I mean motor …not pump.
The problem has been there since day one.
The situation causes the engine to almost stall so don’t think there is adequate relief. Maybe even no relief at all.It is easy to pass quickly through the lever travel to try an eliminate the problem. But the travel is so close to the center position that a slight nudge or failure to return to “perfect center” will keep it squealing..Unfortunately, the Chinese manual for this tractor is totally useless.
Apparently the Luzhong and the Futon tractors are much the same.
What would help is …
A] Has anyone else had issues with the 3 point hitch directional valve?
B] Do the 254 series of tractors actually have an adjustable RV in the system (I heard that some do not).
