The rigid top link is exactly like your diagram on page 1. The main block is 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 x 7 solid steel and the bar is 2 x 2 with gussets just like the diagram. I had the hoe sitting level on blocks and hooked the lift arms up to get the length measurement of the horizontal bar. I bought grade 8 bolts but ended up going with 3/4 x 4 1/2 pins for quick attachment. It's solid, no movement what so ever. I do have a quick hich, and saw thats what you use, but haven't tried adapting to it yet.
Third times a charm. I guess not!! I'm done trying!!!!! Shouldn't be this way.
Ok going to try from the phone. Still won't go. This is the only site I have this problem.
Hooked the hoe up the other day to play around with it and get use to the valves. I'm going to attempt to post a pick. Well my file size is to big and won't let me upload so I'll send it to the pics gallery.
I've been thinking about getting a hydraulic top link, after reading what you guys wrote I ordered one from agri store. I've got a quick hitch, but found some of my older equipment wouldn't hook up.
This splitter is worth every penny, of course my speeco gas engine splitter I bought in 1980 has more than paid for itself. My son came over with a full truck load of knarly wood. I split the whole truck load with the 3pt splitter in 15 minutes. I went out the next day and split all next years wood in 4hrs. Some pieces were 4ft in diameter and others my other splitter wouldn't touch, 4 to 5 ft tall by 120 ft run. This is really nice!
I hooked the tiller up yesterday and sized the pto shaft. I had to cut 5″ off both pieces. I left the tube guards off, I want to be able to see the shaft. The tiller runs great, but my wife wouldn't let me till the yard up! I guess I'll have to wait until I haul it out to the farm.
After I ran the splitter a while I checked the hydraulic box level and had to add a gallon. It was full before I started, was surprised at how much it took to prime the splitter.
Hooked the splitter up today, so the open center valve is right. The book showed the pressure and return hook-ups backwards. Once I swapped them the valves worked properly. I split some wood with ease that my gas engine splitter wouldn't touch. Real happy with this!
It's funny you say that, because I did that out of the blue last week. I'd say it paid off! Ya, the next purchase will more than likely be the gator. I'll tell you what, the more I get the smaller my barn gets!
